Neuromodulation

Neuromodulation is a technology that uses techniques to change the way the nervous system works to treat neurological disorders, relieve pain or regulate certain body functions. The most commonly used techniques are electrostimulation, where electrical impulses are transmitted directly to the nerves or brain, and pharmacological neuromodulation, which uses drugs that affect the nervous system. Neuromodulation is widely used to treat chronic pain, epilepsy, Parkinson's disease and other neurological conditions.
